 Who, when and why?
In 1991 Uptrend Management was started by three landlords who were tired of agent's fees not reflecting the amount of work involved to let a property and the poor management techniques employed by these agents.
Once let, the agents invariably forgot about the property, allowing properties to be mistreated and creating begrugded tenants.
Uptrend set out to build relationships with the tenants which in turn increase co-operation and reduced maintenance costs. Costs which, even for the smallest jobs, the agents charged large percentages on top of professionals work.
This created the first mantra, if we can do it, we do do it and its included in the maintenance fee. Of course some jobs require specialist professionals, but we do not add a percentage on top and supervise any works carried out. We haven't had a job yet that we don't know the right people to fix.
